| We made some cinnamon rolls...this half of the dough made a five foot roll.
Then we went to Lansdown Music to "help" be extra hands during the big Trick or Treat activity downtown.
There's Shayna, Doug and Mia in their costumes passing out candy. Emmy is in the doorway. The candy was in a guitar case on a keyboard stand. I went with my (clean) overalls on, a red flannel shirt, pig tails and a cowboy hat. Not a long stretch, I guess. I did NOT wear my farm boots, however. They were entirely too "acurate" for my costume. (Too dirty and smelly). Next weekend is the Robotics competition. I'll try to put up photos and a short update later.
| Yeah...as I was walking back from the milk shed this morning, I realized what I had done. I actually said, "Psssst" to Wilma, got her attention and we snuck by Mattie so I could feed Wilma without Mattie knowing, (cause Mattie steals all the food). wow...I actually said "pssst" to a cow, and it worked. I think I need to get out more. I guess I do get to get "out" tomorrow...gonna go to the dentist. anyone want to ride along? I'll buy lunch...and supper somewhere in Kansas. I'd love to not drive alone. Maybe Wilma is free... | | |
| We've been working around the farm. Here's OUR "Farm Town".
Some work inside, too! Nathan's room before... Nathan's Room after...
Any suggestions for Ike's rooN???
I would like to know which kid thought this was a "good activity"!
Or as Dad would say..."Now that you're all here...which one...."
| The xanga ticker says that Wilma is due tomorrow. She had her calf at noon today! I LIKE that ticker!! All is well, so far, for Pebbles and Wilma. I'll post pictures when I get the battery back up on the camera. | | |
| You know how sometimes/usually our minds are full of to-do lists? This morning, I went out quickly before I had to leave to throw some old bread out for the chickens. I threw the bread in the cage and stood there a minute watching them. I got to listening to the birds and the creek. My mind wandered a bit...no, not really, my mind actually tuned into the moment. I started really taking in my surroundings both visually and audibly. I took a deep breath and actually thought, "I wish I LIVED here". What a marvelous blessing God gave me when I fully realized, "I DO LIVE HERE!!!" Thank you, thank you, Jesus!
